At Shakawear, our designs are all about blending style with the culture that inspires us. Every piece we create comes with a story—whether it’s about the people who wear it, the spaces it’s meant for, or the life it embodies. In our latest series of photoshoots, we ventured into some very different environments to showcase our newest products. Here’s a closer look at how we used these unique settings to highlight the essence of Shakawear.
Getting the Right Environment
We took our Mechanic Jacket to a local tire shop, a gritty, hard-working environment that perfectly matched the product’s rugged vibe. The jacket is all about durability, functionality, and style. Made to handle tough situations while still lookin Clean.
Surrounded by tools, tires, and the hum of work in progress, the photoshoot captured the jacket in its element. The outdoor setting added authenticity to the look—showing that this isn’t just any jacket; it's a workhorse, made for those who take pride in both their craft and their style. Whether you're wrenching under the hood or rocking it on the streets, this jacket is built to stand up to whatever life throws at you.
A Cowboy’s Take
For our Sandwashed Denim Jeans & Essential Hoodie, we headed to our Texas warehouse, where we teamed up with Ronnie Davis to show just how rugged, durable, and versatile our denim really is. Denim has always been a cornerstone of workwear, but we wanted to take it a step further and show how our modern take on denim brings together comfort and toughness.
Our cowboy guide showed us how to break in denim the right way, capturing the feel of hard labor, long days, and the outdoor lifestyle that inspired the design. From dusty boots to the open Texas sky, this shoot was all about celebrating the authenticity and the spirit of hard work that runs deep in both cowboy culture and streetwear. The Sandwashed Denim Jeans fit perfectly into that world, adding a new twist to a classic that’s made to last.
Streetwear doesn’t have to be just for the young and restless. In our Latest photoshoot, we wanted to show how the Paisley Hoodie could be the perfect piece for anyone, regardless of age. We visited a cozy home where an elderly couple relaxed and enjoyed each other’s company, wrapped up in the warmth of our latest hoodie.
The idea here was to highlight the comfort and versatility of the hoodie. Something that feels just as right at home, sipping tea, as it does on the streets. The shoot was all about connection, warmth, and love. Showing that style can be timeless. It was a reminder that fashion is about self-expression, no matter where you are in life.
Culture Meets Art
Our Designer Tee inspired us to venture into the heart of Pasadena, where culture and creativity meet in the city’s historic landmarks. The idea behind this photoshoot was to show that streetwear isn’t just for the streets it’s a reflection of the world around us and the creative energy that infuses every corner of our lives.
In the peaceful, reverent atmosphere of the church, the Designer Tee stood out, adding a touch of modern style and individuality to the sacred space. This shoot illustrated how fashion and faith can coexist, how streetwear is just as integral to the cultural conversation as sacred art. It’s the blending of contemporary trends with timeless traditions that makes streetwear powerful and transformative.
Shakawear Is More Than Just a T-Shirt Brand
Lastly, a family-focused photoshoot that centered on children. This shoot was about more than just showcasing another piece of clothing it was about showing how Shakawear isn’t just a t-shirt company; it’s a brand that spans generations.
Our models were families. Moms, dads, and kids all wearing our signature pieces and demonstrating how Shakawear is for everyone. The children were the true stars of the shoot, capturing the essence of how streetwear can be passed down from generation to generation. It’s a brand that starts with you and continues with the next generation, because style doesn’t have an age limit.
